Falcon Ridge 4th graders donate $1,225 to Peace Center

Falcon Ridge 4th graders presented a check for $1,225 to Noreen Seurer, Peace Center Manager, on Tuesday, March 25. The students raised the money over the last month through a soup dinner on Thursday, February 13th and from the sale of handmade clay bowls the students created in their art class at Falcon Ridge.
Noreen Seurer was extremely grateful for the donating and stated, “I want to thank you so much for the wonderful, generous check you gave to Peace Center Food Shelf. You worked very hard on the beautiful ceramic bowls you created – you can be very proud of your efforts.”
With the donation, Peace Center will be able to buy a wide variety of food including meat, milk, cereal, soups, pasta, canned fruit and vegetables, peanut butter, tuna, and much, much more through Second Harvest Heartland, our area food bank. Through this donation many children and families will be able to have good, nouris
hing.
